I- CBG - Cell Biology and Genetics

SCB0198-2017

Students will learn the structure and function of cells and biological membranes, signal transduction pathways, cell cycle and cell division, the flow of genetic information and the regulation of gene expression. Exploration of laboratory techniques and discussion of the cellular basis of human diseases will also occur.

I- CBG -> Molecular genetics

SCB0198B-MG-2017

By the end of the module the students will be able to describe the main aspects of genetic information and of the structures and functions related to it, as well as to link the various aspects of the organization and usage of genetic information to human diseases. They will also acquire the ability of critically reading the scientific literature, extracting the informations necessary to the learning process.

I- PBMB - Preparatory Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

This course is designed to give students basic chemistry knowledge of the molecules that make up living things, starting with the simplest compounds to get to macromolecules, such as proteins and nucleic acids.
